Silas hangin' with old buddies from Hannah's Hope

Today Silas got to hang out with some of his buddies from Hannah's Hope, our agency's transition home in Ethiopia. We got to meet up with two families that we traveled with ... one being Lucy Lane and the other being Will. It's so crazy that 3 of the 6 families that traveled in our group are from Tennessee. Luckily, I was able to sneak out of work to meet up with the mommas. We met at Chick-Fil-A for breakfast and the kiddos had a fun time. It was so great to see them together again ... it hadn't been since we landed in Washington DC on June 19th that the 3 had been together at the same time. I don't think I fully grasp that yet. Below is a picture recap...

Silas and Will had a lot of catching up to do.

Silas was stunned to be back with his buddies

Silas apparently was done catching up but Will still had some stories to tell.

The 3 together again ... about to chow down.

First, Lucy Lane had to get some Will time. I think Will was still wanting to catch up with Silas who was done chatting and ready to eat.

Will going to town on some puffs.

Silas chewing/gumming some chicken & biscuit

Hanging out in the play area

All the kiddos together in a shot ... Will's showing off his belly :)

Silas so wants to climb up there

Absolute favorite shot! That needs to be in a frame somewhere.

Silas was asking Will when his old buddy and him can hang out again.

Will told him hopefully soon!

Will and Lucy Lane battling for position.

Amber then did a impromtu photo shoot on our porch when she got home...

So Will's mommy got Silas this shirt ... how great is that shirt! THANK YOU! Silas loves it! ADOPTION DEFINITELY ROCKS!

Big boy in the rocker

Love that boy!

Not sure what that look is all about :)

We then had to get a few shots in before dinner...

Cracks me up when he raises his eyebrows and does his expressions ... not quite captured fully in this picture...

If I didn't have to go back to work, it would have been a perfect day! :) Thanks guys for meeting up and I pray that our kiddos will continue to get to hang out and know each other as they grow up! We just need to make it a priority to continue to meet up!

It was GREAT to see you guys on Monday! I agree with you, that it is still kind of hard to wrap your mind around the fact that these three babies were half way around the world, born in different parts of Ethiopia, were relinquished to the same orphanage and now live only hours apart in the same state! God has special plans for each of these sweet babies and I am hopeful that we will be able to continue these get-togethers over the years! Take care and tell Amber and Silas that the Harper's said hi!

SO fun! And that Cubs bib... umm yeah - garbage. Silas needs a Brewer bib - I'll help him out - poor little fella. I think you should come to Chicago for the picnic!
