Some Firsts...

OK, I gotta get the Ethiopia trip on here but wanted to share some of Silas Abrham Lucht's firsts here at home...

His first car ride ... he cashed out on the way home from the airport. The boy was so tired ... we all were after 33 hours of total travel...




His first bath at our house ... our boy LOVES the water ...

His first time eating cereal. He did real good but he didn't want to participate for long ... he knew that his bottle was in the hopper...

His first stroller ride. Our road dead-ends into a park and we went down there and he really enjoyed it. He loves being outside, observing and taking everything in...

Silas helping Daddy open his first father's day card. He would have rather have eaten it as EVERYTHING goes to the mouth.

His first swimming pool experience. Since we knew he loved baths, we thought he'd enjoy his pool and we were right!

Can you see his strong will in this picture? We're learning this side of our boy as well.

He was so fascinated with the (unmowed) grass. He couldn't figure it out but knew he wanted to touch it (and put it into his mouth).

His first sunglass fashion show (even though they were mommy's). Amber's sister said that he is just preparing for all the papparazi (aka, friends and family).

His first try at squash ... we think he really likes it so that's good. It's hilarious to watch him try new things with his reactions. The body jerks and facial expressions are priceless.

This really isn't a first of anything but I just love the following pictures...

The two people I love most on this earth...

We feel like Silas is doing GREAT ... we're continuing to pray for his transition and bonding. It is great watching and learning his personality ... from his serious/observant side to his fun/playful side ... the boy's GREAT and I can't imagine our lives without him ... There is no doubt that God hand-picked you for our family. SILAS, WE LOVE YOU!
