It’s hard to believe that it is almost the middle of December! It has been a fun Christmas season for us so far, and I thought I would share with you what we have been up to through pictures.
Getting out the lights and Christmas decorations
Making sure the lights work(and yes he was supervised)
Preparing to put the star on top of the tree
Daddy provided some assistance to complete the job
Adding the ornaments
Cookie making time!
Carefully cutting them out….often with the sharper side of the cookie cutter facing up!
Ready for icing
We had to have a few Africa cookies in honor of Silas’ sister
Finished product
Finally time to eat one!
They are a hit!
This past weekend we did a Christmas outing with our LifeGroup at church. We got a quick family picture in front of the huge Christmas tree!
These are some good friends of ours from our LifeGroup. They have a beautiful family!
Silas and daddy
A quick picture in front of the beautiful landscaping
Our water loving boy.
Ethan working off some of his energy
Aslen enjoyed taking it all in as well
He’s worn out and ready for bed
Finally, tonight we had a dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant with a local African Adoption Fellowship Group. This is one of Silas’ buddies, Ryann. She has the best smile!
Lucy Lane
I will end with this one. This is SO indicative of the relationship Silas and Lucy Lane have had ever since they came home from Hannah’s Hope together. Lucy has always been miss personality full of smiles and giggles ever since she was a baby. Silas, on the other hand, has always been more timid and reserved. It looks like that is still the case! I just love that these two will always have the unique bond of coming home together, and I pray they will be lifelong friends!
I pray that this Christmas Season is a peaceful one for each of you. May the love of Jesus Christ fill each of your homes as we celebrate this season that is all about Him!
"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which means, "God with us." Matthew 1:23
